All of us are works in progress. We’re on a life-journey to encounter real Love. I began mine 36+ years ago. Jesus encountered me with his love in 1976. Since then, and because of Jesus, this Love of His Father continues to draw me, heal me, and inform my writing.

“We love because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19, ESV)

“David’s Place” is the little space from which I can help heal God’s household and change His world. Coaching, informing, encouraging, and exhorting us to respond to and pursue Love with everything at our disposal. Why? Because, nothing is more real or more important than Love.

I write what I would like to read–and trust that there are others out there like me. I try to post 2-3 times a week. Sometimes I simply take a break–usually no longer than a week. I’ve buried some nuggets. Hope you’re able to dig some up and apply them to your journey.

A Little About Me:

I was a French Canadian and English orphan named David Fay. If abortion had been legal when I was born, I would have been murdered. Since abortion was illegal; I was born. I was a ward of the state of Massachusetts. In fostercare for five years, then adopted. Ultimately God included me in his Family. Now I’m learning all about real Love. And God has used me and my writing to bless many over the years.

I’m chronicling this journey in Adopted: A Memoir of Healing Love (Check out “The Old Suitcase“ one of the healing moments recounted there).

FYI: I speak to groups of foster and adoptive parents and social agencies working in foster and adoptive care. I also speak to churches and organizations that focus on God’s love, family, and healing.
